For the first 5 years of my career, my commute was about 45 minutes each way. I didn’t mind the commute, I liked the quiet time…but I felt like my time could be used to better myself and my career. I used to love talking on the phone and catching up with friends, but as my job is a teacher, I quickly realized that I needed to save my voice for my class of 2nd graders.

A few years ago, the “serial” podcast came out. It wasn’t until that time that I had really ever heard of a podcast. But after listening , I immediately fell in love with the idea of podcasts. There are podcasts fore everything! Sports, food, adventures, work, etc. They are a wonderful way to deliver advice and instruction in an informal and relaxed way.

Today I am going to talk to you about my favorite podcast. Now, I do have many that I enjoy but this one hits home. It especially hit home during my adventure to entrepreneurship to launching teacher time to go. I was reading my favorite blog (click here for my recap of my favorite Frida blog: the every girl) and they often release lists of “musts” and this was on it! It is called Goal Digger Podcast by Jenna Kutcher. The premise, as stated on their website is, “The live-workshop style business podcast that is helping thousands redefine success and chase bolder dreams. You can train from the experts how to dig in, do the work, and tackle your biggest goals along the way.” In short, it focuses on business, branding, marketing, and inspiration. It was a Sunday night, and I remember thinking, I’ll give this a try for a week and see what I think.

Wow – well I was blown away with the real world practical advice, the content and depth she went into, and how it was so relatable to any women entrepreneurs out there. I couldn’t get enough of this. I began listening not just in car but any free time I could. On my walks, on my lunch breaks, cooking dinner. Currently, she has 400 plus episodes all ranging form 35-55 minutes and focus on different areas of business development.

If you are looking to get some creative ideas going, connect with like minded individuals, or even hear about new organizational products, this podcast is for you! Happy listening!

Jennifer
