What do you teach?

I teach students math and science, mostly at the high school level, but also some undergraduate.

Do you participate in ECs?

I used to be a competitive judo athlete, but some injuries have sidelined me over the past few years. I still love staying active by doing yoga, biking, and anything else that keeps me moving.

What are 3 word to describe you

Curious, reserved, patient

If you could learn any skill/hobby what would it be?

I’m currently trying to relearn all the Spanish that I’ve forgotten since high school!

Tell us something that may surprise us about you!

I’m a citizen of the US, Israel, and France!

If you have 30 minutes of free time what do you do?

Make an espresso and listen to a good podcast/audiobook

Best place you’ve travelled to

A little over a year ago my family and I had an incredible trip to Peru.

How do you spend your summers?

Spending time outdoors and traveling (when there isn’t a global pandemic!)

If you could spend time with anyone who would it be?

Dr. Peter Attia! He’s a brilliant former surgeon who now does incredible research into the study of longevity (how to live longer). I have goals to attend medical school in the near future and I would love to have dinner with him and pick his brain

What advice do you have for kids struggling in school?

Try to find any way to be interested in the material! Learning tough concepts, especially in math and science, is never easy and of course there’s no shame in seeking help if you’re struggling.

If you can make real world connections it makes it easier to learn because you WANT to rather than because you HAVE to. As a tutor, my goal is both to clear up confusing topics and to instill students with a love of learning such that they are truly fascinated by what they’re learning about and ultimately successful.
