I currently teach 6th grade special education in Southwest Philadelphia.

Driven, Passionate, I laugh a lot (sorry… I know that’s more than three words!)
o If you could learn any skill/hobby what would it be?
I really wish I could learn how to bake. I try…but somehow, even when I follow the recipe to a T, I still mess it up!

I am the only person in my entire family who has red hair.
o If you have 30 minutes of free time, what do you do?
If I have 30 minutes of free time, I’m usually spending it walking around the city!
o What is the best place you’ve traveled to?
A tiny island in the Bahamas called Eleuthera.
o How do you spend your summers?
I actually spend my summers teaching in Eleuthera and I help run a summer camp (a nonprofit called Educators for Eleuthera) for the kids on the island!
o If you could spend time with anyone who would it be?
Both of my grandmothers.
o What advice do you have for kids struggling in school?
Just know that everyone has something that is difficult for them.
For some, reading may be hard. For others, it may be really difficult for them to play soccer! Everyone has something that they are working on…even grownups! And also, know that you are going to find what you love. And when you find what you love, it will not be hard 🙂
