Meet Patrick!

Where are you from?

I am from Wayne Pa and attended Conestoga High School

Where/what are you currently teaching?

I am currently a paraeducator at Valley Forge Middle School in Wayne, Pa. I support students in grades 6-8 with various needs. I am also working on an MA to become a secondary Social Studies teacher.

Do you participate in extra curriculars/club at your school?

I recently completed my first year as the head coach of a  U-13 Rugby team, and am looking forward to returning next season. Great team sport for anyone looking!

What are 3 words to describe you?

Daydreamer, helper, witty (or so I tell myself) !

If you could learn any skill/hobby what would it be?

I would learn guitar. I’ve picked it up and put it down in the past, so hopefully a little extra free time during the summer will help me make some progress! I love music, and would love to be able to make some myself.

Tell us something that may surprise us about you!

I am an identical twin. My brother lives in Dallas, Texas.

If you have 30 minutes of free time, what do you do?

I like to listen to a record out of my vinyl collection or read a book. Often times both! I especially enjoy alternative rock and historical/political science topics.

What is the best place you’ve traveled to?

Prague, Czech Republic. Where the coolest architecture collides with an interesting culture.

How do you spend your summers?

Spending time by the lake, hiking, and visiting old friends!

If you could spend time with anyone who would it be?

Dead: Harry Truman, a remarkable leader who’s seen and done it all.

Alive: Jeff Tweedy, songwriting genius of my favorite band, Wilco o

What advice do you have for kids struggling in school?

As long as you have a desire to improve, it doesn’t matter where you are now. Everyone loves a comeback story!
